The Tampa Museum of Art was honored to host its very first wedding, an unforgettable celebration for an extraordinary couple: Jennifer Hsiung, an acclaimed international anchor and comedian (CP24 Breakfast, Comedy Central Asia, CGTN, The Hardy Boys TV – ACTRA), and David Shoemaker, CEO of the Canadian Olympic Committee and former CEO of NBA China.

International Guests at TMA

From the outset, this was no ordinary wedding. Rather, it was a complete transformation of one of Florida’s most prestigious cultural venues. Guests traveled from around the globe, including Australia, Bangkok, Beijing, Canada, England, Taiwan, and across the United States, to witness the occasion.

Accordingly, the museum’s main lobby and riverwalk pavilion were thoughtfully reimagined to host a seamless progression of events:

• the wedding ceremony,
• cocktail hour,
• and a high-profile reception.

To bring this ambitious vision to life, certified event designer Cindy Stonehouse and her elite team of A+ wedding vendors led the charge.

Their meticulous planning and flawless execution blended world-class aesthetics with the warmth and intimacy of a family celebration. As a result, the event radiated vibrance and elegance, perfectly reflecting the couple’s global prominence.

At the heart of the evening’s atmosphere was Orlando’s own DJ Carl BF Williams. DJ Carl curated a dynamic playlist that transcended cultures and generations. He skillfully read the room and kept the dance floor energized. In addition, DJ Carl’s selections reflected the couple’s international backgrounds.

This milestone event recognized by Tampa Bay Times and Grace Ormonde Wedding Style, and it stands as a shining example of how art, culture, and celebration can converge in one unforgettable evening at the Tampa Museum of Art.
